Fun Friday- Delays, the One Room Challenge, and Phoenix's Room

My plan was to be finishing up the backyard today and photographing it tomorrow... but the new sofa I ordered didn't show up yesterday. The tracking assured me it would be here by 8pm, but now the tracking is like I dOn'T KnOw. How can it be so sure it will arrive one day and then after it's late be so flaky? All it said was that if it's not here by May 12th then I can ask for a refund. I don't want to refund I just want my sofa so our backyard can be complete!!

Other (less frustrating) things happening this week. I started the One Room Challenge and I am SO excited. I have a few leads on some dining table options and my goal for next week is to have all of the foundation pieces in place- table, chairs, chandelier, buffet, etc. It doesn't seem like much of a task, but it's something I've been working on since the day the dining room was filled with furniture that looked like this.

I'm also still planning to continue working on Phoenix's room, I'm in the middle of picking out a paint color for his room and dreaming up something fun to do on the ceiling... send me your ideas!

His closet is adorable, but the rest of his room is still a hot mess!

Mother's day is this weekend, what are your plans? I'll be spending the weekend getting caught up on chores and at the lake with my family. Most of the adults are vaccinated now so it's really nice to be able to gather again after such a LONG time spent apart. Hope you have a great weekend!!
