Fun Friday- Where the Crawdads Sing, and I'm the last person on the planet to watch Schitt's Creek.

Has everyone been surviving election week ok? I know there are a lot of high emotions and anxiety going on and I'm here to give you a virtual hug. Regardless of who any of us voted for we are all Americans and I think everyone just needs a hug right now.

In other news, I found out that Reese Witherspoon is adapting Where the Crawdads Sing into a movie this week. It's a book I read over the summer with my book club and it was an incredible story! Currently, Reese's production company has selected a script writer, director, and chosen the lead actress (Daisy Edgar-Jones). It will probably be awhile before the movie comes out, but I can't wait- if you haven't read it I highly recommend it. It was Delia Owens first novel, she is a 70 year old scientist and this book was not expected to do great, they originally printed 28,000 copies, but then it went and spent 98 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller's list- so the book itself even has an incredible story!

I have a confession... I watched Schitt's Creek for the first time this week. I know I'm suuuper late to the game here and everyone has been talking about this show for years. I have a very difficult time getting into new shows. I usually find myself re-watching the office or Friends instead of trying something new, but guys...I'm hooked! I love this show so much and should probably be concerned that I see a bit too much of myself in Alexis, but this is a show I will now be binging for the next few weeks- I'm on season 2 right now so no spoilers.

I hope you have a great weekend! I'll be resisting the urge to start pulling Christmas decorations down...this is the time we started decorating last year and I think I want to wait just a bit longer this year...maybe next weekend :)
